Dedicated to ALL the men who served in the 463rd
Parachute Field Artillery
Home of Airborne William 'Bill'
Tingen
Member of Baker Battery, 463rd PFA
Important update - 2005
A partnership between the 1ST FIELD ARTILLERY REGIMENT based at
BASTOGNE and the veterans and families of the 463rd Parachute Field
Artillery has been discussed. If you were a member of the 463rd PFA or
you are family or related and you have not received the name and address
of the person to contact at the Base (for a private visit for instance),
please mail us.
How I started the site in June 2003 :
I am building this site to educate our youth and eventually others (including
myself!) and to honor and thank the men who liberated our European
countries in WW2.
We can best honor them by teaching our children that living in
freedom did not come automatically, but was restored by the efforts and
sacrifices of hundreds of thousands of patriots and soldiers during
World War II.
Expressions of gratitude are never-ending and heartfelt.
The author.
Major changes in 2005
In 2005 the site will of course remain Bill's
homepage, only we will extend it to be
also the Official Home for all 463 PFA veterans and their families. This
in accordance with Bill himself and other veterans of the 463rd
Parachute Field Artillery, 101st Airborne Division.
We apologize for all delays in expanding the site, we want to add a
lot of information and probably this will take several months...
Any information would be most appreciated.

I would also like to address a special
THANK YOU, to Tess Stinson (Idaho) and Kathy (Gallipau)
Trefz (New York) for all kinds of help they are giving me on
this subject ! Of course also a
very special THANK YOU to
Bill
Tingen himself, and the
members of the 463rd PFA, to do me the honor allowing me to
build their homepage. |
